Availability of Cars
|
Dollar have a large fleet of primarily
Daimler Chrysler cars however, cars can be reserved only by car category
and not by specific model. If, for any reason, the car reserved is
unavailable, Dollar will provide a similar or larger car at no extra
cost. |
Liability Insurance
|
Your rental rate includes liability
cover as required by law in the state in which you rented. |
Supplemental Liability Insurance
(SLI)
|
If you want the added security of
primary liability coverage up to $1 million you may purchase SLI.
and we recommend inclusion with the purchase of our Fully Inclusive
or Gold Rate packages. |
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
|
Protects the renter for financial
responsibility for the rented vehicle should it be stolen, damaged
or vandalised in any way regardless of fault, provided the renter
has adhered to the terms and conditions of the rental agreements. |
Additional Optional Insurances
Coverages
|
Dollar’s additional optional
insurance coverage, comprising of Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP)
and Personal Accident and Effect (PAE). The cost, coverage provided,
availability and terms may vary at different locations. Leaflets are
available from us or at the rental location which explain the UMP
and PAE program. |
Additional Renters
|
Additional renters must meet all rental
requirements. The cost at the time of rental for each additional renter
over 25 years of age is $6.00 per day un less you choose our Gold
Rate Package. |
Under 25 years Surcharge
|
There is a surcharge for drivers aged
between 21 & 25 years old at the time of rental of approx $20.00
per day plus tax. |
Infant Seats
|
By law, children under 5 years of
age must be properly secured in a child passenger restraint. These
can be requested when you make the reservation, but must be paid for
on arrival. |
Taxes and Fares
|
State taxes and fees are payable at
the time of rental. Handling fees range from $2.50 - $3.50 per day
and include the reimbursement of sales tax on the pre-paid portion
of the rental. Sales tax is due of all items purchased and ranges
between 6-13% (depending on the state). Airport operation fees range
from $2.50 - $3.50 per day, plus 8.6% of all options purchased. In
Florida there is a state surcharge of $2.05 per day. These taxes are
included in our Fully Inclusive and Gold Rate packages, but must be
paid for at the location with our basic package. Taxes are also added
on to all items purchased at the rental location. |
One Way Rentals
|
There are no charges for one way rentals
within the states of California and Florida. All other one way rentals
are subject to a drop charge and must be requested and approved in
advance by Dollar. |
Refunds
|
Refunds will be given if voucher is
not used and returned to us , or on Dollar's confirmation of your
early return. |
